Host a MAST Participant During Orientation

Twin Cities Host Program

* See the World Without Leaving Home *

What is the Twin Cities Host Program?

The Twin Cities Host Program is an important aspect of the MAST International Orientation.  Participants have their first introduction to American culture through their interaction with Twin Cities Host families.  In return, host families make an international acquaintance that could become a life-long friend.  Twin Cities Hosts are asked to provide lodging, meals, and transportation to and from the St. Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota for several days during the orientation.  Participants appreciate the reassuring welcome that a Twin Cities Host family provides upon their arrival in the USA.

When are the Orientations?

Orientations are held Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, which works conveniently around many work schedules.  Most trainees arrive on the Saturday before the orientation and depart to their training sites Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning.
