Winery - Practical Training
- Description: Winery cellar experience with limited placements available in laboratories and viticulture. Size ranges from small custom crush operations to large production wineries. Wineries are located in California, Oregon, Washington, and New York.
- Activities: Learn about standard operating procedures for cellar equipment; performing pump-overs and punch downs; fruit crushing and preparation; preparing and topping off barrels, perform cleaning and sanitation of tanks, pumps, crush pad, presses, crusher, and floors; bottling; monitoring fermentation; learn about wine-making styles and varietal differences.
- Time of year: Winery placements are short-term only from August/September – November. Must have at least two or more seasons of experience in your home country.
