The MAST program played a crucial role in making it possible for me to come to the United States. I am deeply grateful to both the program organizers and my host family in America, all of whom took the time and effort to introduce me to local life, culture, and opportunities.
I have remained in contact with my American family for more than 30 years, and I have had the opportunity to visit them several times. The emotional impact of our first reunion is something I will never forget.
One of the aspects I appreciated most was the opportunity not only to gain practical business experience but also to study at a local college and take elective courses at the University of Minnesota. It was in America that the entrepreneurial spirit was first planted in me. After returning to Estonia, I started my own business and have remained an entrepreneur ever since.
I can confidently say that the knowledge I gained through my studies and my university experience has helped me enter the U.S. market as well. To this day, I travel to various states every year, both for business and leisure, and the foundations laid during my time in the program continue to benefit me both professionally and personally.
