MAST was the base of my career in export of ag machinery, finally traveling over 50 countries world wide. The two years in Minneapolis and further states made me open for different cultures and different ways of thinking in personal and business.

The German way of communication is quite straight and for other cultures sometimes even irritating. There is no need of "How about..." or "could / would you please..." when you ask someone to do a job.
So my host Cal Chadwick one day asked me: "How about you take the truck and bring the sweet corn to town?" And as a funny response I answered: "Yeah, how about it?" Cals eyes were telling me very clear, that this was not funny, especially with some customers being around...Of course this never harmed our friendship, so Cal and his wife Beverly one day even came over to visit me in Germany for some time! A great honor for me!

MAST for sure is the best way for learning and understanding different cultures, also those of the other nations participating this program. This is a perfect training for business as well as for personal development.
